How far in advance should I book my bridal makeup artist?
It's best to book your bridal makeup artist at least 6-12 months before your wedding day. This allows you to secure your preferred date and gives us ample time for trial runs and planning.
What does a bridal makeup trial include?
A bridal makeup trial is the perfect opportunity for you to meet me - your makeup artist. It includes a consultation where we discuss your desired look, followed by a full makeup application. This helps us refine your look and ensure you’re completely happy with it before the big day. It also give us the opportunity to talk about how things will run on the day, such as timings and location set-up.
How long will the makeup application take on the day?
The makeup application typically takes about 1 hour per person. For larger bookings, additional time will be included to allow for any touch-ups.
Do you offer makeup services for the bridal party and other guests?
Yes, I offer makeup services for the bridal party, family members, and other guests. Please let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly.
Can I book in for eye makeup only?
No — I don’t offer bookings for eye makeup only.
When I create a look for a client, I design it as a complete, balanced makeup application. The complexion, contouring, blush, and lips all work together with the eyes to create a cohesive and polished result.
I also take a lot of pride in my work and the standard of makeup I deliver. Offering partial applications can compromise the overall finish and may not reflect the quality of my work if the rest of the makeup hasn’t been applied by me.
For this reason, all bookings are for full makeup applications only. This ensures every client receives a beautiful, professional result that reflects my work and maintains the standard I’m known for.
Do you offer makeup for junior bridesmaids?
I don’t offer a separate junior bridesmaid makeup service. All bookings are for a full makeup application, regardless of age. Whether someone prefers a very soft, minimal look or something more defined, the same level of care, skill, and professional products are used for every client.
The only exception is for very young flower girls. Their “makeup” is complimentary and simply includes a little lip gloss, a light swipe of blush, and a touch of shimmer on the eyes — no mascara, foundation, eyeliner, or other products.
What products do you use?
I use high-quality, professional-grade products that are long-lasting and suitable for all skin types. Brands include Giorgio Armani, Estee Lauder, Charlotte Tilbury, Face Atelier, Cinema Secrets, Huda Beauty, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Mecca, Too Faced, Cover FX, Hourglass.
If you have any specific preferences or allergies, please let me know before and during our consultation.
What if I want a specific look or have inspiration photos?
Feel free to email or bring any inspiration photos of makeup that you like to the booking. I’m here to help bring your vision to life while offering professional advice on what will work best for you.
How should I prepare my skin before the makeup application?
For the best results, ensure your skin is clean and well-moisturised. Please do a light exfoliation leading up to your booking and do any facial waxing no less than five days before your appointment (foundation does not stick well to recently waxed skin). If possible, have a skincare routine in place leading up to your wedding day to keep your skin in top condition.
Will my makeup last all day?
I use high-quality products and setting sprays to ensure your makeup lasts throughout the event. To extend its longevity, try to avoid touching your face. For oily skin or hot weather, consider using translucent powder or blotting paper to control shine. I also recommend bringing your own lipstick or lip-gloss for touch-ups, as lipstick can fade over time, especially with eating and drinking.
What happens if I need to reschedule or cancel?
Please inform me as soon as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel. I understand that plans can change, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs. Please read my terms and conditions for information relating to refunds.
How do I secure my booking?
To secure your booking, a deposit is required. This helps confirm your date and covers the initial planning and preparation.
Do you only do wedding makeup?
No, I offer makeup services for a variety of occasions, including events, birthdays, and photoshoots. I have worked with brands, businesses, magazines, and for model portfolios, corporate headshots and personal branding.
